Homeless/Jobless New York Filmmaker in Tokyo
Posted May 4th, 2009 - 3:08 am by from New York, United States (Permalink)
Hey Guys,

Thanks for making this group.

My name is William Akira Cramer Takahashi and I am 26 years old.

I am from Tokyo originally, but left with my mom when I was 7, I am back now for a little while visiting my father.

I am in need of friends, a job, and a place to stay, but I'll take whatever I can get.

My home right now is in New York City, where I live in the Chelsea neighborhood. Back home I am getting started as a film/video producer, I brought my camera, and am excited to maybe do a documentary while here.

My rented JP cell is 08065587356.

Anyway, I just joined CS, searched Tokyo, and found this group, and thought I'd give it a shot and try posting.

Cheers Everyone!

Hi WACT, nice to meet you.

I'm afraid I can't be much help on the housing front at the moment, but here are the job sites I've been checking pretty regularly. I'm job hunting myself, and am finding these pretty useful.

CareerCross
Craigslist
Daijob Tokyo
GaijinPot
Jetwit
JobCube
Metropolis Jobs from Joblet
Recruit
Tokyo Arts Beat Jobs
Kijiji

I'm a Canadian writer/journalist, and want to get working on some projects, but I don't know many creative types in Tokyo. Would love to talk with you about working together. These days I'm mainly interested in urban vs. greenspace and the underground parts of the city. How long are you here for?

Cell phone's 080-3692-8943, or email me at matt.hayles@gmail.com.

Cheers,

Matthew

Hello.

I'm an architect and unhappily not living in Tokyo but interested what you are doing exactly for "urban vs greenspace, underground..."?

And if you are searching for creatives maybe you can find them in the monthly Pause Talk in Ikebukuro:
