Looking to rent a room / couch / balcony for July
Posted June 15th, 2012 - 6:37 am by from Petrolina, Brazil (Permalink)
Hello CS-ers of the Bronx!

I've landed a job July 1 - 31 teaching English in a travel and learn program at the Rose Hill Campus of Fordham University. I'm looking for short-term one-month accommodation, if possible, in the Bronx.

If anyone has a spare room or even a spare futon in a semi-shared space I would be happy to work out a price for one month. In Bologna, I slept on a sofa on a balcony for 2 weeks and in Ljubljana I was on a spare mattress in an office for a month; both times turned out to be great experiences so I thought I'd try my luck in the big apple.

I'm tidy, very laid back, fairly quiet and respectful of space. I enjoy laughing, sharing stories, and learning from other people.

I imagine it being typical that during the day, I work and mosey and in the evening cook, read, chat, enjoy a glass of wine, etc.

I don't smoke and I have no pets. I pack light so I'd have just one bag. Seeing that I'm new to NYC I would not be inviting guests over or partying. (Not that I care if you do any of these things.)

IF you have any questions, just ask!

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Robert August Smith

Hi Robert

I have a private room that is furnished with a futon, lamp and other items for your comfort. It is on the corner of E Tremont and Morris Park in the Bronx, very close to the 2/5 E 180th Street train stop. Many buses are in the area as well.

I have been asking $525 for the month which includes electric and Internet.

Let me know if that works for you.
