Hey!
I have to respectfully disagree with Patrick. I am a native Bronxite and I find it to be a fine neighborhood. Though Kingsbridge is obviously not the Upper East Side of Manhattan it is by no means a dangerous or seedy area like some parts of the Bronx and NYC. I grew up hanging out there with friends and I still go there several times a week. There is easily accessible shopping on Broadway and the surrounding area and the 1 train serves the neighborhood. Manhattan College is right there also and there are various nice cheap, local places to eat, shop and grab an adult beverage.
However, I will agree with Patrick that Woodlawn is nicer, hence I live here. It is truly one of the hidden secrets of NYC. Riverdale is also VERY nice but less accessible via the subway.
If you have any questions in particular about Kingsbridge send us a message. As with anywhere, before you consider living somewhere you should consult locals, think about what you want out of a neighborhood and find out how it is once the sun goes down :)
Best,
Greg

PS Thanks for giving Woodlawn a thumbs up Patrick!

it can be a little sketchy. I was passing through Kingsbridge and must agree it's not the best part of the BX though if you go up to Westchester and or some parts of Riverdale, it is nicer.
