Hitting on the continent, 4th of February.
To all people in Mexico City,
My name is David. I try to introduce myself shortly. I am a simple guy with a complex plan. Being on a quest to go around the world in roughly 5 years brought me to the most important milestone so far. After spending almost exactly 2 years on the Road, I have arrived to the very end of my unbelievable Asian journey. Two weeks ago I flew back to Jakarta, Indonesia to get a new passport as the old one got full and fortunately the new one is ready, it is supposed to arrive in the beginning of next week. I am just looking at the flights right now and would like to fly to Mexico City on the 3rd of February. Supposedly I will arrive the next day, on the 4th.
Well, my plan is to kick off from Mexico City and descending all along the Central-American archipelago and making it to South-America, Rio de Janeiro being the last destination. I assess it will take the next one and a half year or so. I have never been on the American continent but I am determined to leave it one day as a person who is familiar with the people, the culture, the language and feels a bit home there.
I don't know anyone in your country (which I hope will change soon), the plan is to have a brief insight in the capital and then hit the road.
This is a humble post to ask for a couch and some help as being a rookie in that environment. If you give me some lesson in the basics of your language I would appreciate it very much as I consider the language as the key of traveling.
Your interests, perception of the world and references are lot-telling to someone who knows a little bit of the world himself, too.
This made it easier to whom to write in the first place.
As a last thing I know your phone number is supposed to be asked for, even though for myself, I travel without phone or computer. I am a man of pen and paper. Which maybe you will appreciate having seen your passion for writing.
I guess, that's it.
Hopefully I will hear back from you. In any case, thank you very much in advance and have a great weekend!
