Hints and tips

Hi all, I'm startnig my trans Canada Hitch hiking excursion around mid-Sept from Victoria to New Foundland. Any hints? WHat should I be looking out for?

Anything would be great, I have have very little hitching experince.

HI Geoff,

why you leaving in September? it gets pretty cold on the east side of the country starting october. make sure you dress warm and if you're camping i hope you got a -10C sleeping bag. well, good luck!

very good to know. Cheers for the advice. It is an unfortunate time to start it, but thats my job contract ends and I'll be free to do as I please. I'm doubting I'll be camping, either couchsurfing or hosteling, but if worst comes to worst then I may have to set up a bivouac.
