Posted September 19th, 2010 - 4:22 pm by from Cadiz, Spain (Permalink)
Hi all

I use a linux distribution (it's a distribution derived from Debian) the keyboard and language is configured for spanish language.
I have necessity to write using cyrillic characters (Ukarian)

Is there anybody who could explain me how to change the keyboard layout ? (preferibly without to log in a different session)

Thanks

In the Console (terminal), you can use setxkbmap

It is great. For the french azerty:
setxkbmap fr oss
For bépo:
setxkbmap fr bepo

(I don't know for other keymaps)
