u can read 14th and 16th chapter of yajur ved which has the best combination of mantras...you can recite it if you want...for being shiva in metaphysical form inside you then you may want to focus more on yoga and meditation because you will have the feeling of "aham bhramasmi" meaning i am the divine flame....
well the most significant book is shiv maha puran but its just a collection of stories and may not make much sense i think...there are some works by some nice philosophers but it focuses more on philosophy of self not necessarily shiva but they focus on shiv...sadly most of the material i know is in hindi or sanskrit...and im not sure if you are familier with it...there is a very nice website which has most of the material in sanskrit and translated english (not exact but still you get the idea) you can check it out at http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/index.htm
it also has audio i think...most of the material focusing on shiva in you is based on the shiv (you and soul) shakti (power or energy) and it goes in that direction....it is impossible to explain it on public post etc....
furthermore,my opinions are based on several different philosophies so i dont know what exact direction to give...if you can ask specific questions i can answer them with precision.
well, I am a yogi and i meditate everyday. how should I approach Shiva in meditation? I tend to be playful with my yoga when I dedicate it to shiva.
Unfornatley I don't understand much Sanskrit or Hindu. I've just been learning the mantras and decoding them. Thank you for the website I'll look at it now. Nish could you send me a message and we can have a more in depth conversation about these things?
