Hey everyone

I have just arrived to India two days ago.
Most of all I want to get in touch with tibetan and budhist culture so i think ladakh might be just right for me :)

I am thinking of a stay up until december, so my first question is:
will any of the major roads be closed so that i cannot leave towards mainland india or china by beginning of december?

and then for my stay:
I would like to logde at the same spot. where -if at all- do you think it will be possible for me to

-find a cheqp room preferably with a tibetan family?

-have regular classes in tibetan and maybe hindi?

-have acces to a drumset (im a musician, so i want to practice if anyhow possible), a Piano or at least electricity so i can use a keyboard?

-have regular internet acces?

-take yoga and meditation courses?

the whole budget really cannot exeed 22000 Rs per month...

maybe this is a little excentric to ask, but I dont know how else to find out^^ I think it should be possible though!
I just don't know at wich places it is most sensible to look for this... what kinds of places cuold I expect to find a piano teacher or a drummer you know^^

thanks a lot folks!! :D

Mate, you may check-in at Makhang guest house at old fort road, you will get a chance to stay with pure ladakhi family moreover, things are easily accessible and room fare would be around 300/day.

Cheers!

Hey

-Ladakh is the right place..:)

I am thinking of a stay up until december, so my first question is:

-Most likely, the sri nagar Leh highway will stay open but the other manali leh highway will close by december.Flights remain open. One to sir nagar or Delhi is not more than 5000 rupees(100 euros approx)

and then for my stay:
I would like to logde at the same spot. where -if at all- do you think it will be possible for me to

-find a cheqp room preferably with a tibetan family?

-When you travel to Nubra valley or Pangong lake, you are more likely to get homestay and watch them cook their food or take their animals to grazing. They are very hospitable people.
In Leh,you should relax your body with modern beds and animities around..:)

Accomodation is dirt cheap starting at rs 200 a night(5 euros approx)

-have regular classes in tibetan and maybe hindi?

-Not sure

-have acces to a drumset (im a musician, so i want to practice if anyhow possible), a Piano or at least electricity so i can use a keyboard?

-Electricity is not a very big problem in Leh.You are likely to get it for 12 hours a day..;)

-have regular internet acces?

-Only in Leh

-take yoga and meditation courses?

-Not sure

the whole budget really cannot exeed 22000 Rs per month...

-I say try for 2200..;)

Revert back to me buddy if u got any quesries..:)
