austrian christmas dinner in vienna
Posted October 15th, 2008 - 9:52 am by from Vienna, Austria (Permalink)
i talked to peter a while back and he said he would contact the owner of the martinsschlössel.
any news?

if anyone has any other ideas. please let us know.

i think to keep up the tradition of the first christmas dinner markus organised, it is supposed to be a dinner not a party. but if someone wants to organise a party on another date that would be great of course :)

the location should not be too far out of the center. cozy, not too expensive, and able to seat about 100 people. (i don't think there would be any more).

please post any ideas you have.
also it would be great if you area available to organise.
(i would of course but i am leaving mid-december and so can't organise).

thanks for any help, advice or thoughts on the matter,

options so far:

is only available on
02 dec
08 dec
14 dec
(the 8th collides with our stammtisch.)
and at 15 to 16 euro per person for the buffet (they won't do a la carte for groups over 35 people) is quite expensive.

kent where we had the previous christmas dinners
is available most days.
11 dec
12 dec
13 dec
14 dec
15 dec
16 dec
17 dec
19 dec
21 dec
etc. and has the advantage that everyone can order what they want.

has room for only a limited amount of people so we would have to set up a meeting and when 50 sign up - close it. which is not very nice.

i also sent gasthaus vorstadt
an e-mail regarding their availability.

so if you have any ideas. please let me know.
if you would like to organise with me - also let me know.

thank you,

Hallo meine lieben :-)

also dann :-)

So for the non German speakers...

is the likely location for the Austrian Christmas dinner/party on the 19th December..

Are you sure it is a good idea if he gets to know us? :)

Also I think being there 2 times in a month takes away some of the flair :)
