DISTANT EDUCATION IN AUSTRALIA...PRACTICAL QUESTIONS...
I am searching for some people who might help me a bit with my search, or just plain questions. Not much or hard stuff, but easier this way, via direct contact and speaking, more heads, more information.
|My search is about education.
I need to ask few questions, and according to reactions I will continue>>
so what is my idea about? I am studying Education in Czech republic, soon start to write my diploma work about DISTANT education. Would like to develop the theory of education using recent technological equipment, like skype, video cameras, etc. Basically would like to write about how it is possible to study and not need to travel to school for every lecture. In this time it is already a waste of time, moving from place to place. In Czech rep. there is a little from this knowledge, due to old system and long long reforms.
Would like to put a sparkle to that. Would like to start discussion, and change.
Anyway, why I am asking you, people of australia?
because friend who was there told me you have quite a cool educational and university system of distant studying, that works due to large distances neccessary to travel from A to B.
So would like to hear from somebody, who can give me some basic guidelines how to approach this topic. Maybe a contact, maybe somebody already working in education, etc. Or where to write for such guidelines, how this system and approach is legitimated. Basically what is the role of a teacher, the student's approach, etc...
Would like to compare australia and czech republic and describe possible models and possibilities., and of course, also other systems, if somebody can point me to that
Well, enough for now.
Waiting for some contact, if somebody think that can usefully help me, let me know
Cheers for that!!
ps. please if you comment to this thread, which might be in some way also useful for somebody else, i dont know ;) also send me a message, as I posted this request to quite a few groups and i am not able to check all of them all the time ;) thanks for that!
