About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do stuff that makes me happy.

ABOUT ME

Hi All,
I am choosing to simplify my life. Living simply means you truly love everything that's left in your home, on your calendar and in your life. It means you need less money to live, you have fewer expenses, which means more time doing things you love and less time working. I live with my two Jack Russell Terriers, Emmy and Arrow.
I can pick you up from Melbourne CBD and tour around the city.
Getting creative with my cooking skills, trying to cook healthy nutricious meals, using fresh local produce. If you choose to stay with me I can show you where to walk down to Fishermans Beach. I go down there every other day with Emmy & Arrow.

PHILOSOPHY

I am doing stuff that makes me happy, I spend all my free time with Emmy & Arrow, they are good company, happy to see me and I can tell them anything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am interested to host visitors, to share their experiences and show them some of our special places. We have a lot to offer visitors to the Mornington Peninsula. We are about an hours drive from Melbourne, lots of cafes, beaches, Mornington pier and harbour, Arthurs Seat Lookout over Port Philip Bay we usually see a few kangeroos around the Seawind Gardens, Cape Schank lighthouse walks , Point Nepean National Park, walk or bike ride down to the Heads which is the entrance to Port Philip Bay and to explore the whistling tunnels , amazing coastline views at London Bridge, Portsea, wineries, Peninsula Hot Springs and much more.
I have four bikes that visitors are welcome to use, to explore. Of course we are out of town, but it is quiet away from the noise, the traffic lights, the trams, the crowds. We have nightclubs, pubs, bars, etc if that is your thing.I am happy to visit The City to catch up with fellow couchies at CS parties, barbies, or nightclubs.
There is always the possibility of some paid work, just ask when you send a couch request, I do painting and tiling. All depends on what jobs that I have going.
The Mornington Peninsula is the gateway to Phillip Island which has The Penguin Parade at sunset, chococolate factory, wildlife park, surf beaches.
You can get the ferry over to Queescliff to pick up The Great Ocean Road, go down to Bells Beach at Torquay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I like to get out camping in the bush, where you can set up camp and sleep out in the open by the fire. At present my cs experiences are staying at friends houses after we have been out to a party or some event having a few drinks. Farmstays and Bed and Breakfast places. I stay at caravan parks in cabins or a tent when I am travelling usually.

Interests

I spend my time doing stuff with my doggies, we walk down to the beach or to the park everyday.
I love to sail my hobie 14 on the Bay whenever I have the time.
Building furniture and craft stuff like picture frames,I am good at working with timber with the view to creating some stuff that I could sell at the local markets or on Ebay.At present it is just work, work, work, trying to save some $$$ to travel myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to read auto biographies to see how people have lived their lives, how they made their fortunes and the ups and downs of life that they have experienced.
Movies like Australia, Red Dog, The Man From Snowy River, We Bought a Zoo,Harry Potter, James Bond, Fast and The Furious. Game of Thrones, Hungergames, Dr Who
Music I like country, pop, rock, I suppose mostly older stuff, Bon Jovi, George Thorogood, Pink, John Williamson, Powder Finger, The Angels, Rose Tattoo. Getting into some new stuff on JJJ,Arcade Fire, Queens Of The Stoneage, Daft Punk, Staffie, Meg Mack.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Grand Canyon in The States was an awesome place. I took a helicopter flite through The Grand Canyon, that was awesome.
Sea World on the Gold Coast puts on a great dolphin show.
Fraser Island is an amazing place to visit.
The sunsets on my local beach, Fishermans Beach in Mornington, Victoria are awesome. The beach is different everyday and about 15 minutes walk from my unit. One day the water will be like glass and another day it will be like a surf beach.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to chat to new people and am looking to expand my experiences by meeting and chatting to travellers and providing a place for them to stay locally.

We all have a story to tell about the experiences we have had or we would like to have.
I would like you guys to include me in your conversations please, I sometimes feel invisible when you speak in your native language and do not include me in your conversations and/or plans.
I don't want to travel the world at the moment, but happy for the world to come to me.
