About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel and take as many pictures as possible

ABOUT ME

Been there done that. Started out as a police officer, spent some time teaching at a community college and working as a photographer for a daily newspaper. Currently living in Montana, working as a fire fighter and spending my days off traveling in the Greater Yellowstone area learning more about nature photography.

PHILOSOPHY

Used to be active in church. Now nature is my cathedral. Enjoy your trip into our national parks, but treat it with the reverence it deserves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hope to help people plan trips in the area. Give them advice about where to visit in Yellowstone or Tetons for hikes or photography.
Remind them the elevation here is higher than most places they have ever lived and to drink plenty of water. Don't want to have to meet them professionally as a EMT / Fireman.

US & UK top 40 music.
I'm a guy, so like action movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hike in Cascade Canyon of Grand Teton National Park - The snow, the Grand in the background and the clarity of the mountains made it the best hike ever.
Slot Canyons in Grand Staircase National Park.

Teach, Learn, Share

Yellowstone (and the surrounding area) is nature at its wildest form. It is not a zoo. The terrain can be dangerous. People die here every month because they do not respect the dangers of the terrain or the wild animals. I hope to help people have a better trip and hopefully get beyond the typical tourist destinations.
