This coming Sunday is June 16th, also known as Bloomsday. Leopold Bloom spent June 16th, 1904 on a long walk around Dublin in James Joyce's Ulysses, and every year strange people like me come together on Bloomsday to read aloud from Joyce and drink Guinness. This year, we will convene on Sunday at 2 pm on the back patio at the Field in Central Square, where we will read aloud passages from Ulysses, and drink Guinness. No knowledge of Joyce expected - indeed, the only parts of Ulysses I've ever read are the chunks I've read on various Bloomsdays past. If joining significantly later than 2 pm, message me in advance and I'll give you my phone number so you can make sure we haven't relocated. All good sports are welcome.
