In January, we visited the Frolic Room in Hollywood.
February, we visited Frank 'n Hanks, in Koreatown.
March, we visited two Los Feliz's dives (Ye Rustic Inn and the Drawing Room)
April's visit was to downtown LA's Golden Gopher (established 1905)
This month, we check out Boardner's, a “flashback” to the “glory days” of 1940s Tinseltown, this “classic” Hollywood “hangout," has a great menu for their happy hour, which runs all evening on Sunday, and we will check it out starting at 5:30.
A tour guide described it as a lounge that "has been discovered by the rest of the city and is as popular as ever. It's your typical bar that serves the drinks without umbrellas and without attitude. This has always been a solid spot for meeting new friends or old. And if you happen to be here during the summer, check out the patio in the back. There are not many better places to spend a summer night in L.A."
Boardner's is just a few blocks from the Hollywood & Highland metro stop and is easily accessible via public transit on Hollywood Boulevard.
Parking can be difficult in this part of Hollywood and the city does ticket and often tows, so please keep that in mind when planning your evening.
