Japanese conversation meet up in Wellington

Organized by Tatsuya Nakata
Practice your Japanese with us!

We welcome you to the Japanese conversation meet up in Wellington to practice your Japanese.

The meeting is open to all levels from Beginner to Native to practice your Japanese with people of different levels. If we can find several Japanese native speakers, we can also do Japanese-English language exchange.

This event is non-exclusive, so bring your friends (CS or not), workmates, flatmates, or even in-laws, provided, of course, that they are studying or speak Japanese!

This time, we will meet at Electric Avenue on Courtenay Place (http://www.electricavenue.co.nz/).

The meeting will start at 6pm and probably last for a couple of hours, but late-comers and early-leavers are welcome. I'll have a Japanese textbook ("Genki") with me, so if you are arriving late, look for a table with the textbook! Or I will give you my phone number if you PM me.

(Note: I set the end time for 9pm, but may finish earlier or stay later depending on what people want. It might be a good idea to PM me in advance if you are planning to arrive late.)

PS: Note that we meet regularly, but there is no fixed day. In some weeks we meet on Friday, in other weeks we meet on Wednesday, and in other weeks, we don't meet at all :) So check the CS web site regularly for latest information about the next meet up!

こんにちは! I'm pleased to announce that the next Japanese conversation meet up will take place on 7 June (Fri) 6pm onwards at Meow.

It will probably very busy and noisy at Meow Friday evening, so PM me in advance if you are planning to arrive late in case you cannot find us!
Hi, just let you know that I've changed the venue! We will meet at Electric Avenue on Courtenay Place instead of Meow because there'll be gigs at Meow on Friday and it may be a bit too noisy / busy for Japanese conversation!
Hi! Just a reminder that we are meeting today (Friday) at Electric Avenue on Courtenay Place!

In our last meeting, Japanese native speakers outnumbered non-native speakers! So it was a great opportunity to practise Japanese :)
