Maciej Markiewicz. Stabno has taken part in numerous projects, such as the concert celebrating the memory of the late Wojciech Skowroński , where he performed with musicians from Skowroński’s band. Other projects include “Komeda” , or “Serca moc”—a musical spectacle with which he attended such events as the “Światowy Dzień Sybiraka” (International Sybirak Day). Aside from such achievements he boasts a multitude of performances at various musical festivals and galas and has even performed at such clubs as the esteemed Blue Note. Stabno - together with five other Polish pianists—was chosen to perform during the first Polish Guinness World Record to play on “the world’s largest piano”. Amongst his many inspirations he most often names Oscar Peterson, but nevertheless remains open to other styles. As he is adept in both jazz, classical styles he brilliantly rediscovers and redefines both the sonic and the technical potential of the piano instrument.
This musical performance will include Stabno’s interpretations of works by such Jazz greats as: Duke Ellington, George Gershwin or Krzysztof Komeda.
