Friday Flicks: Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

Organized by EdwardTravels
It's summer in LA - that means outdoor free movie showings, blankets and picnics in the heart of skyscrapers with your fellow Couchsurfers.

We've created a series, hopefully weekly, of free or low cost events that will be ALL AGES EVENTS, for local and visiting couchsurfers to get to hangout, meet up and socialize in a low-key, fun environment. This is going to include outdoor concerts and other outdoor performances, fireworks on the 4th, open air movie showings, festivals, etc., in the LA County area.

This coming Friday, June 14th, we'll be meeting at Pershing Square, downtown Los Angeles (easily accessible by public transit or with parking at the Pershing Square garage itself) to catch the movie screening of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Bring blankets and picnic food or snacks (there's a bunch of nearby decent casual food options to go as well: Chipolte, Counter Burger, Subway, Qdoba, etc.).

"Films are shown on a 20' foot inflatable screen and start at 8:00 pm. Family dogs are welcome if they are well-behaved and kept on a leash.

For quick and easy access to Pershing Square take the Metro (Pershing Square 5th street stop) or park in the Pershing Square Garage."

More details TBD/TBA.
