General TKB Info:

- - WHAT IS TURBO KICK?
TKB (turbo kick boxing) is a group exercise format from Southern California which uses energetic beats, kick-boxing moves, and dancing, all mooshed together to create a cardio party atmosphere that is totally unique. No experience or equipment is needed. Created by celebrity fitness instructor Chalene Johnson as a fun way to burn up to 1000 calories, the action has spread USA wide and now hitting up Berlin for the first time ever!

- - WHO CAN JOIN?
Any age, gender, or experience level can join this class. JUST BE PREPARED TO SWEAT! It's high intensity and relatively fast paced! The choreography builds in layers, which is a unique and effective approach to break the moves down easily, so that beginners and advanced alike can participate. FOR THE BEGINNERS, I would recommend taking the class at least a few times to fully understand the moves. (That was capitalized because I do not want you to feel discouraged after only one try! :D) And for the regulars, there are always advanced layers for you to keep the workout fresh and challenging!

- - HOW LONG IS THE WORKOUT?
Normally one hour.
Currently Sundays will be 1.5 hours, because of the large class size and extra time teaching basic moves to beginners.

- - WHAT DO I BRING/WEAR?
Please bring a medium sized towel and a water bottle. Also SHOES should be CLEAN to respect the studio! :) Your standard workout clothes are good. (A yoga mat is preferred by those who like a little cushion during the Abs or Stretching section, but not necessary.)

- - HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?
you decide how much you pay!! This is a DONATION BASED class. So that means if you feel like dropping off anywhere from 1-10 Euro, that is absolutely wonderful and appreciated! But just remember YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PAY a certain amount!!

- - WHY IS THIS DONATION BASED??
I want fitness to be available for EVERYONE. The only other way to get a good group exercise workout is to sign up at the gym, but unfortunately most require a year long contract, plus the monthly bill to worry about! TKB is donation based, which allows participants to pay according to what they are able to, and to come when they want. Just remember though, your generosity of donation allows me to become a better instructor for you, to bring new music and choreography to you, and allows other low income participants to join! :)

- - WHO THE HECK ARE YOU AND WHY ARE YOU INSTRUCTING THIS CLASS?
I'm Angela, from the USA, and a CPR/AED certified health enthusiast! I started this program in early 2011 and was drawn to Turbo Kick because of the energetic music, athletic moves, and the layering choreography. I became TurboKick Certified in February 2013 in Orange County, California. In November 2013 I had started my first TKB classes here in Berlin, and now its 2014 and I'm very excited to build up here, learn how to be a better instructor, and share this fun workout with you all!!

DIRECTIONS -

--Sbahn 41 or 42 (RING)
--Exit station ''Prenzlauer Allee''
--Walk north (which is left when u exit the station) on the street Prenzlauer Allee for approx. 10 minutes, which will eventually curve into Prenzlauer Promenade.
--OR! INSTEAD OF WALKING, there is a STRAßENBAHN (Tram) that will take you there! its only 2 stops. The tram is pretty obviously located in front of the Prenzlauer Allee Sbahn station...hop on the M2 NORTH which will say toward ''Am Steinberg'' or ''Heinersdorf''... DO NOT hop on the M2 south toward Alexanderplatz because that is the wrong direction! Your stop is called ''Prenzlauer Allee/Ostsee Straße. This will save u time!
--when Prenzlauer Alle curves into Prenzlauer Promenade (or after 2 stops, for those who took the tram), get on the left side of the street to the corner where theres a car rental place. A couple doors down from the car rental youll notice a long white & pink sign that says KINDER TANZEN! that is us!!!!
