Young Wanderlust Book Release Party!

Organized by Evan Kenward
Here in the US, there is an unspoken tradition. As you grow up, you learn about it indirectly from tv, movies, stories, and the like. The tradition is called "Road Tripping" and the greatest of these traditions is to drive from one end of the country, three thousand miles to the other.

Hello, my name is Evan. In the summer of 2008, my two friends and I embarked on a road trip to achieve this goal and be part of this age-old adventure. Alas the car that we took was not reliable, and ended up breaking down in California. My two friends acquired another car, but to my dismay and failed convincing, they had decided to end the trip and drive back home. I refused. I kept going.
Through the use of cars, buses, boats, friends and strangers, I made it up to the Pacific Northwest and Canada on my own. Through this experience, I discovered Couchsurfing. It was the best decision I could have made, which changed my entire perspective on traveling, as well as life and human interaction on a much larger, more meaningful scale. I felt so affected by not only Couchsurfing, but my entire trip, that I was compelled to write a book about it.

I would love to share this experience with the Couchsurfing community, and if you happen to be in San Francisco on October 11th, you are more than welcome to join me at the book release party!

This is a free event! It includes:

-FREE beer from Anchor Brewing Company
-FREE food
-FREE brewery tour
-Book reading
-Basically EVERYTHING is free, unless you want to purchase my book, which is certainly encouraged :)

Here is a link to the Facebook invite as well:

My book is also featured on the Couchsurfing blog:
