• I'm planing to visit Budapest in the week before Easter. My trip should be continued towards Osijek, Cratia. But I can't find any line. The train has been canceled, and there are no buses I would say.

    Does anyone know better?

hitchhiking...girl alone on the road :-(
Traveling via Belgrade sounds more tempting. Thou the train takes 7+ hrs and til I get to BG, it will be time to leave for Osijek. I have a friend there which I promised to visit once. I can not just travel through.
If one of you wants to hitchhike with me...

p.s. how many days should I take for Budapest?
p.p.s. I expected to get the answers in my inbox...

    Thanks again Tamas.
A friend of mine proposed this possibility: www.carpooling.com
Thou if I take only 2+1/2 days for Budapest, I can have a two days in BG. That's ok.
How much does the train from Budapest to Belgrade cost. Train Europe says 50€, but it also says that for the for Vienna-Budapest relation I would have to pay 45€. If I go to the Austrian railways official site it's 34€...

Puaah. I had a look at the serbian Railways site. The ticket is 15€ http://www.zeleznicesrbije.com/active/sr-latin/home/glavna_navigacija/putnicki_saobracaj/medjunarodni_saobracaj/cene_prevoza_v01.html

I'm diffidently going via Belgrade. Can I buy that ticket in Budapest or only in Belgrade?
