• Hi, does anyone here have experience with the bus from Cairo to Taba? I'm hoping to come to Cairo in late March, then take the bus to Taba on my way out of the country. But it's hard to find schedules or be sure that the bus is running right now, so I'd like to make sure before I book my flight!

The line from Cairo to Taba is forbidden to foreigners. You can take the bus that goes to Dahab, there's three a day (one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one at 11pm). From Dahab (you'll arrive around 6-7am) you can take a bus to Nuweiba (I think they run quite often during the day, I remember there being one at 10-10:30), then another bus to Taba. Or perhaps you can find a bus to Taba directly - either way, you should be there by the late afternoon. Bus to Dahab is 90EP, and to Taba it shouldn't be more than 35EP. Remember there's an exit visa into Israel/Jordan from there - I think it is quite a bit if you don't have an Egyptian residence permit.

Also, do consider spending some time in Nuweiba or Dahab, they're quite lovely places (and much cheaper than the beaches you'll find in Jordan/Israel!). Good luck!
