• Cape Town is fast becoming a world class food destination. I would like to experience it for myself. Anyone interested in checking out some great Cape Town restaurants over the next few days?

I'd be interested for lunch or dinner on the 2nd - hell maybe even both, make a gastro day of it :P

I had lunch at Buitenverwachting the other day which was very nice, in a great location. A couple of other reasonably priced unpretentious places I'm keen on are: Cafe Verdi for pizza/brunch in Little Chelsea, Wynberg and the neighbouring Thai restaurant, Erawan.

At Waterfront, I like the Sevruga which is suprisingly good value for it's sushi platter, considering it is a quite a smart restaurant.

Anyway, if this goes ahead would be keen to get involved.

    Cheers,

    Anthony

I have made reservations at Nelson's Eye restaurant for Wednesday,January 2nd at 7 pm. The reservation is in the name of Kurt Jorssen. The address is 9 Hof street, located in the Gardens section of Cape Town near Kloof st. The place looks unassuming from the outside, with just a humble sign, but it's highly rated with fantastic reviews(I've done my homework)See you then!

Cool, sounds good, thanks Kurt. In the mean time anyone wanting to meet up this evening just message me and I'll try sort something but it seems several of us are heading for Long St, at varying times. I'm thinking of choosing a bar/ref point and saying be there at 10pm?

Thanks to everybody for participating in my event (the first cs event that I ever organized). We had an impressive turn-out with 12 people representing 7 countries. The food, for the most part was great, the company was even better. Thanks to Anthony for offering a few rides for
    People.
