• Hello my fellow couchsurfers!

My name is Nils and I'm a singer/songwriter from The Netherlands.

At the moment I'm busy writing songs and planning to record an EP or an album in december 2013. I maybe want to do that over there in Cape Town with other musicians!
And now I'm trying to find out if the African music scene in Cape Town is interesting for my music. Because I LOVE African music, so I want to work with South African musicians!

Can anyone give me information about the music scene there or maybe anyone is a musician and has a network and wants to work with me??

I hope you guys can support me in this! Cause it's my most awesome project ever!

    Peace!!

    Nils

    Hi Nils,

You did not say what type of Music I love European music too - House rock, classical, opera :-p - but you can find sa Jazz musicians at a place called swinger jazz club in wetton - young guys up and coming - else marimba bands on the streets, there are some choirs around here as well - but the Ladysmith Black Mambazo type choirs would be from KZN.... and then we got a bit of the rest of africa in cape town too.

Tuesdays there's open mics at Armchair in Observatory and Zula on Long street, where it would be good to meet some people and share some music.
