• Hey All, question...Are the majority of CS'ers located in CT or are there smaller towns/cities (around CT) that have a good group of Couchsurfers. If so, what places? Do they have meet ups? We wanted to get an idea of what the SA country is like and thought it would be worth it to explore the smaller townships. Thanks for your advice.

Hi Benjamin & Heather - there are many suburbs in Cape Town (city center, Seapoint, Greenpoint, Plumstead, Rondenbosch, Muizenberg etc etc) and CSers are quite spread out. There's a big group of CSers based in the city center , and some out in Stellenbosch (University of Stellenbosch) side as well.

We do have casual meet-ups, in fact I think Graham is organizing a Rafiki (bar) meet up soon and there's always fun hikes etc. If you are moving to Cape Town, it will be best to start in the city centre and acquaint yourself with other neighbourhoods over 1-2weeks!

Hey Lisa, Thank you so much for your reply. We are actually going to be traveling through not moving. We wanted to get an idea of where the CS'ers are as we want to see the sites, but spending time with locals would be a big plus. I figured there would be a decent sized group in CT, but also wanted to find some other areas outside of CT where active CS'ers live. So, I appreciate the info.
