Hi Anna! I would like to go see some beaches as well. When would you like to go? :)

There is a small secluded beach called "Smitswinkel" which is past Simonstown on the way to Cape Point but you need a car to get there. You would need to park up on the road and it is about a 10 minute walk down to the beach. It is worth the visit though. Get in touch with me if you want to see it.

I am from Cape Town and no matter the month, the water is usually pretty cold - but we swim anyway! For warm water and beginners surfing, Muizenberg is a good beach. If you get a group of people together it is fun to take the MetroRail to Muizenberg or Kalk Bay. There are great cafes in Kalk Bay and its quite picturesque! However, be careful on the train and dont travel alone or flash your valuables. Kids take the train, so its not very dangerous, but rather be safe than sorry.

Glen Beach is a little beach between Camps Bay and Clifton that few people know about. its very beautiful, the waves can get quite big, but its much less crowded!

Llandudno, near Hout Bay, is also fantastic but remember that they dont sell food or drinks there so bring your own. It has a very relaxed vibe - you wont find posers there. Mostly surfers and life savers who occassionally throw crazy parties.

For a great local beach pub, go to Dizzys in Camps Bay. Its about 100m from the beach and always a fun time with delicious pizzas. Caprice is also fun, more classy and expensive though.
