• Hey fellow Couchsurfers!

I have a favor to ask, so please give it a good read and spread it around if you know someone who might be interested. I'm not sure if it's completely kosher of me to ask on here (it could be construed as solicitation, let me know if there's a problem), but I know that most Couchsurfers are the sort or person that would be into it, and my main concern is for the student involved.

    -----------

I'm currently searching for a new home for a Korean girl attending a private school in the Springfield area. This is somewhat of an emergency situation, so it would be preferable if the student were able to move in this week. The stay would be for at least a few months, but could extend up until about 2 years, if you are generous enough to keep her that long.

The host family would get a monthly stipend. I realize that this doesn't exactly jive with Couchsurfing's ethos, but this would be a long term stay and the money involved isn't intended to be "income" so much as a "supplement". The real purpose of the stipend is to help whoever hosts her to enjoy the fulfillment of opening their home to someone without worrying about the costs involved.

Any prospective host family would be responsible for providing the student with a bedroom, transportation to and from school (only if the school is unable to provide it), and two meals on school days (three meals on non-school days). Other than that, I only ask that the family take the student in, be kind to her, and enjoy her company!

Like I said, not exactly "Couchsurfing" material, but I'm hoping one of you has a connection that would make for a suitable home for the student. Message me!

    Here's a little update:

We found a very nice family who is enthusiastic about hosting the girl! The only problem is that they both work night shifts so she would be home alone almost all night, every night. We want to continue looking for options, so once again, if anybody knows someone, drop me a line!
