• Hello guys ,
I am thinking in opening Arabic education center for non Arabic speakers in Muslim countries, in order to be easier to more understand of Isalm and Quran , countries like Indonesia , Malaysia , Pakistan , etc... I found that the best country to start this experiment on it is Turkey as its the nearest country to Egypt and will be easy logistically so do you think that Turkish people are interested to learn Arabic or not, and there are training centers for it or not, and If I opened it , could it successive?

There are Arabic courses in Istanbul. About 2 years ago I attended one of them and then moved to Dubai. In Turkey you can find a lot of people knowing how to read Quran in Arabic but they don't understand the meaning. Anyway even if you learn Arabic you can't understand it properly unless you took special courses teaching you how to interpret Quran. An Arabic course may be successful but don't expect to earn a lot since it is not a popular language in Turkey however popularity of it is not as low as it was in the past. And maybe you can combine the course with a translation office as well. Or with other related areas. good luck

To be honest, there are too many people who want to teach Arabic in Turkey. You know many Syrians had to migrate to Turkey because of civil war in Syria and most of them is looking for students to teach Arabic and earn some money. I think supply is much more than demand nowadays...

Big projects for Arabic Language teaching are being prepared for by Turkish universities, businessmen and organizations, and these educational projects will be completed in near future, so I don't think it will be a good idea to compete with locals even when it comes to our native language :) however, The Arabic Language is getting even more popular in Turkey so you need to keep researching if it is a very important issue for you.

Thank you guys for your replies , really fruitful , I want to clariefy some points , and I hope to get some answers for them:
1-I know that Arabic may be not popular in Istanbul, but what about other cites that there are many Arabic educational centers on it?
2-The main goal of those courses to let people know the language of their religion, I know that alot can read Quran, but they dont understand it, so want think on is to make special courses for understanding Quran.
3-What do you think about other cites that they may be more keen in learning Arabic? may be some people need to learn and dont know where to learn? Borsa , Izmir , Izmit , etc...
4-What is the expected cost for such course in Istanbul?

Chances are low . Probably you won't find any students attending to learn Arabic for understanding Quran. Maybe a course targeting businessmen to learn basics quickly work for awhile but I am suspicious about demand. I can say that I won't work in Mersin but I can't say where it can work. Cost of such a course varies a lot depending on location etc.. I have no idea about the licences you should obtain to open such a course.

U should take into account that in Istanbul the Language Schools are teaching all sort of languages English,German,Spanish...and Arabic but Arabic is not a HOT language in Turkey compared to English or even Spanish or Russian.Besides, many government-supervised centres , vakif (charity) , Imam-Hatib are offering Arabic lang courses for free or semi free basis. Moreover, all the private lang schools in Istanbul are really gigantic , occupying full building...I mean they have quite huge budget.

Shifting to discuss the convenient cities , I guess Konya & Kayseri are the most suitable places for such a project since the inhabitants there are rather conservative and keen to learn Arabic.Still,I dont recommend such a project as it seems to be financially untruitful.

    All the best
