• Hi there, I'm Jane from Malaysia. I just wanna ask whether it's better to see/hunt for the northern lights in Akureyri or the occurrence of it is the same in Reykjavik?

Would 2 weeks in Iceland be too long in winter??(I'm afraid there might not be many activities to do in winter as it's cold)

    ps: i should be visiting between 28th January - 8th February 2013.

    Thanks for reading!

    Jane :)

    Hi there Jane!

There is always a steady stream of tourists in the winter, though there is more to see in summertime. But I think that two weeks is just about the right time. I recommend going to Akureyri, Húsavík and Mývatn for a week if you have time.

You could go on a northern light sight seeing trip look at this: http://www.sagatravel.is/

    Hope this is helpful!
