• I like Chico Airport, but frequent flt cancellations and having to schedule through SFO outweigh the convenience and lowering fares.

I fly at least once a month and want to go through SAC instead, but none of my friends will drive me back and forth to the airport that often and it is not really fair for me to ask.

Has anyone found a good way to get back and forth to SAC airport?

I heard the Chico Eco-cab will drive you in their Prius (50 mpg) which is cheaper on gas but you still pay for driver time and vehicle wear and tear which is about $100 a trip. Carpooling with one or two others should relieve that cost but is Chico Couchsurfing big enough yet to organize this from this Chico group site or is Craigslist still the only way?

Anyone feel my pain, or sympathize or have a solution?

also try the north valley shuttle. they only have 2-3 run per day. http://www.northvalleyshuttle.com/

also i have used budget rent a car. Since Chico and SMF are on the same zone i'm renting one way cars with out the one way fee. You can check their prices online and compare with priceline

I commute to sacramento from Chico almost everyday Monday through Friday. I typically drive to yuba city then catch a bus to sacramento which takes you straight to downtown, from there they have local buses which take you to the airport. While I leave early I'm happy to help someone out, either taking them to yuba city or passing for gas and I could go all the way to the airport, given I typically leave Chico between 530am -700am. On the way back I could do the same but leave sacramento between 2:30-3:30pm or leave yuba city around 430pm.
To be clear, you could always catch a ride to yuba city on my schedule, or pay for gas and I could dive directly to the airport,..given I have enough notice.
    The bus is yuba transit.

    Thanks for the replies, guys.
I know that it is possible to commute to SAC. I think I am just griping that it is not easier and more convenient.
I still need to look into the rental car shuttle method.
Ridejoy got me no replies. I know I'm just a loser, but maybe the idea is just a little ahead of its time for this region.
The N. Valley shuttle took forever to get there and if your return flight arrives after 5p you'll have to wait til the next day.
I don't have that kind of control over my schedule when I travel.
Maybe the GoogleCar will de-personalize personal vehicles and we can share cars like bikes.
    Thanks again for replies.
