• Hi everyone! I'm going to be in Tokyo for exactly 24 hours. I wish I could stay longer but I'm planning to do as much as I possibly can in 24 hours! I should arrive in the city around 11am or noon, and the next day I'll need to be at Narita airport by 11am. Too short, I know! If anyone can answer any of these questions I would be so appreciative!

    1) What are the must-sees? What would you suggest as an itinerary?

    2) What is the cheapest way to get to and from the city? And around?

    3) I'd really like to see the Tsukiji fish market in the morning. I'm planning to arrive around 4-4:30 am to see the auctions. Do you know of a cheap cybercafe or capsule hotel that accepts girls around there (walking distance) where I can sleep?

    THANK YOU! :))

    Hi Kaela, I am Masanori.

    1) I suggest Akihabara, Asakusa and Ameyoko-street.
You can check more info below.

2)Your question is difficult but Tokyo metro set up discount ticket.

3)There are few hotel in Tsukiji-area.
Mitsui Garden Hotel and Keio presso-inn are close to Tsukiji but not cheap.

I think cybercafe is inconvenience for foreign person. No english.

It may be as well to use 24h open restaurant, e.g. Dennys, Gusto.

    Enjoy your tour of Japan!

Good answers from Masanori, I'll chime in too.

    1) I would start with the temples in Asakusa (the airport train will drop you right there. Link: http://wikitravel.org/en/Tokyo/Asakusa#See). Maybe the highlight of the city? From there I would go to the Meiji Shrine in Harajuku, and walk from Harajuku to Shibuya (lots of cool small streets, shops, weird tokyo fashion, etc). Have dinner in Shibuya, see the busiest intersection in the world, then come to the CS meeting to meet some locals! http://www.couchsurfing.org/activity/view/KHWWXF

    2) Keisei line is the cheapest way to get in to tokyo, and will take you to Asakusa directly to start your day.

    3) No idea but this place is Asakusa is pretty cheap: http://www.hostelworld.com/hosteldetails.php/Hotel-Kawase-Tokyo-and-Capsule/Tokyo/30420#availability

Have fun! If you come to the CS meetup I'll see you there!
