• I've had this issue in the past, where I don't have the cash flow to spend consistently at pubs/clubs/parties/concerts/etc.

Tip: find a festival and volunteer.
Depending on the festival, and the attitudes of the organizers, it can make for a very fun experience. I have found that events needing volunteers can be mutually beneficial and tend to follow the same schedule:
    - apply to be a volunteer a month or so before the event
    - attend a information meeting
    - obtain free t-shirt
    - work the event for a couple hours
    - finish shift and enjoy the event (free admission)
    - eat free food
    - attend event after party/wrap-up meeting

    try it yourself:

during summer months, most festivals that are hosted by the city/government often use lots of volunteers (ie: jazz/blues fest, stanley park concerts, etc)
