Sobre Mim

I've been living in Lebanon, NH (5 hours from New York City) for a little while now while I work for Dartmouth College. I take as many mini bike tours as possible and get in hikes whenever I can. Just biding my time in New England while I figure out the next trip. Come visit. It's a lovely place!

Distance from nearest cities:
Boston, MA (USA) - 122 miles / 196 km
Montreal, QC (Canada) - 187 miles / 300 km
Manhattan, NY (USA) - 262 miles / 521 km

Summer 2019: My place is open to Appalachian Trail thru-hikers during the summer/fall. Things may be busy but all are still welcome!

Sometimes I suck at communication. Here's some quick FAQ's if you are worried:
• If I write and say you are welcome at my place... you can pretty much plan on it!
• If you require a host to respond to your every question and be around to spend time with you... You may want to write other hosts as well. My place is open to all but I have no idea what my days/nights will be like. I will respond when I can, I love to hang out when I can but can't guarantee it.
• If I don't write to every follow up message... I'm sorry. This summer will be busy for me but I still want your company. Text me if you have concerns or need an urgent answer.
• If you have questions about itinerary or activities in the area... I will try to respond but chances are I'm trying to figure out what I can do with my own free time. If it's urgent (see above) text me. But if you are still trying to figure out what to do in the area, I will try to respond or will be able to make suggestions when you are local (as will my friends or other travelers staying with us). There are great travel guides online and forums you can check as well.
• If you asked for a range of dates because you're unsure of what day(s) you'll be around... I will probably write and say let me know when you have sorted it out, but you're free to come. I am not putting a rush on you to figure out dates so try not to put a rush on me when you've settled on the dates. If I said yes, it's still a yes in my calendar.
• If I say yes, we don't talk for a while and you find a different/better place... That's cool. Just let me know. I want you to find the best location for your trip and the one that will make you feel most comfortable. Please don't try to make me feel bad for not replying in good time; trust me I already do. If I told you once you are free to come and presented you with my cell and address, I have already committed to that. If you require a more present host then please do what is best for you.
• If you wish to be the only guest at my house... You can ask when you write me. I am usually good about letting you know if there will be other guests during your stay with the disclaimer being that if anyone else asks to stay, they will be welcome as long as there is room. I had Appalachian Trail through hikers all last summer and I expect it to be no different this summer.

IF YOU ARE A FIRST TIME (OR A ONE-TIME) COUCHSURFER:
I gladly host first time surfers and in general, anyone who needs/wants a place to stay. If you made an account for one trip and don't plan on using it again, please please please delete your account after your trip is over! There are too many abandoned CS accounts in the United States and it makes it difficult to find a place to stay sometimes (for every active account in US it seems like there are 10 abandoned accounts).

In short: IF YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO USE COUCHSURFING AGAIN AFTER YOUR TRIP, DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT WHEN YOU GET HOME.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

Couchsurfing is one of the coolest communities out there. So many nice people have saved my butt across the world and I want to give back however I can!
