Sobre mí

[Not available right now: newborn baby at home!]

TRAVELLERS FRIENDS, from France, Europe, or anywhere else, WELCOME!

First thing you need to know about me is I love couchsurfing , but I HATE BEING CONSIDERED A FREE HOSTEL!
So please, try to make personal requests on why you want to meet us! :)

WHO I AM
I'm a French young woman, born in the countryside in the middle of fields in Burgundy (best place ever, of course). After 7 years in Paris, I currently live in La Roche sur Yon, Vendée (30mn from Atlantic coast) with my boyfriend and my 2year-old baby girl.

I would say I'm open-minded, helpful, enthusiastic about new things and new people (typical Couchsurfing package, isn't it? ;)), a quite good cook, but sometimes a bit maniac, stubborn, and cynical :).

WHAT I DO
After engineering and then business studies, I was working in food marketing and left my job at the end of my contract, for a 6-month holiday.
I've been travelling with my boyfriend in South America, India, South-East Asia, and Japan.

We were back in Paris for 3 more years and finally moved away, still hoping to host many people!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Had my first experience as a guest when I went in Italy for a 4 month internship: there, thanks to CS I met amazingly great people, some who hosted me almost like a friend and helped me finding my way in this new country, and others who just started with a coffee/ice cream before turning into real friends :). It made me want to go further and host people the same way I was welcomed there.

After several months travelling, I've seen amazing things, but best moments were undoubtly with local people. And unfortunately I couldn't meet locals in as many places as I would have liked.

That's why I really want to help people coming to France so that they can enjoy their stay as much as they can, learn as much as they want, and love the country as much as I love it...

Intereses

FOOD! And everything about it (that's my job, also...)
Music (listening, and playing a bit), Movies
Photography (taking and watching)
Cooking international dishes and pastries
French boxing, swimming, screaming at football players on TV, salsa,...
Discovering new cultures and people, learning languages...

And many other random things, like sports that make you sweat, pilates and all kinds of dancing including capoeira, mixology, sociology and psychology, modern history, handcraft, dinosaurs, natural herbs and spices, sciences, criminal books and series...

Música, películas y libros

Music: piano solos and Hisaishi or Zimmer soundtracks, Coldplay and Radiohead quiet songs, David Guetta or Maroon 5 funky pieces to move...

Movies: it depends of the hour and of my brain capacity of the day. Like the puzzling stories (The prestige, Her, Requiem for a dream), the cultural insights, or the beautiful soundtracks (Miyazaki, Gladiator), but loved American pie and Jurassic park too.

Books: mainly dark ones :)

Algo increíble que he hecho

Well, I've lived in French countryside during almost 18 years, for many people it would seem amazing ;).
Going down Pacific coast of South America from Peru through Patagonia until Ushuaia, southest point of the continent.

Things I've seen: Sunset on Como's lake, breathtaking moment during my first CS experience in Italy... And many others!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Well, I can teach you some French cooking tips (or some Italian, Peruvian, or Thai recipes too), or some non-conventionnal French vocabulary, though you may prefer a "how to survive in Paris underground" lesson.

On the other side, I just love discovering new things, such as new recipes, new cocktails, new dances, new types of music, or just listening to other people's lives, opinion on their countries, and accents!!

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Same as I can offer to my guests! A slice of French culture if you're interested in, a smiling and interested guest at home to have a beer, have a talk, spend crazy time, or wash dishes! :)
