ABOUT ME

I will not be hosting surfers for at least a few months as my boyfriend is moving in with me and we'll be resettling our lives together. <3

Recent NOLA transplant from Los Angeles via San Diego. I'm a Teach For America early childhood education teacher, meaning I love and am constantly being frustrated by young children. I'm very easy-going, love to have fun and go out, cook, dance, read, and just TALK. I'm interested in people and love getting to know them. Just a fun girl always down to have a good time, be it serious or silly!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that all people have and deserve to retain their humanity and dignity. I am firmly anti-capitalist, anti-sexist, anti-racist, and pro-queer, but am always down to have a respectful dialogue about any of the above. I am pro-abolition, feminist and womynist; I believe prisons equal slavery, education equates opportunity, and that Western aggression, imperialism, and capitalism, is leading us en route to destroy the earth and each other.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surf and host as much as I can. As a policy, I don't accept male surfers without a female accompanying them. Sorry but there are plenty of folks to bromance it up with you in our fair town.

I also want you to know that I am very respectful and will not smoke for the weekend if I'm staying with non-smokers. Promise!

When someone pours you tea and you're having a conversation, tap the second and third fingers of your right hand to say thank you. It comes from a Chinese emperor who wanted to secretly take the place of his servants for one night's banquet. The servants were seated at the banquet table and the emperor served; however, the servants couldn't disrespect their lord, nor could they bow properly, so they fervently tapped their fingers as a bow!
