Overview
About Me
We are a family of 5 that loves to meet new and interesting people. And we love going interesting places and learning about the world.
We are a family of writers, designers, artists, engineers, homemakers, naturalists, homeschoolers, adventurers, readers, programmers, idealists, problem solvers, outdoor enthusiasts and followers in the way of Christ.
If you want to know more about us, you can read about our family on Renee's personal blog:

PHILOSOPHY
Our family is location independent (we work from home, wherever we are). We live, work, and play - together. We are life learners. We believe in hiking your own hike.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are interested in hosting people in their travels to Montreal and are looking for places to stay, and people to meet in our own travels.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have hosted a couple people in our home, when we lived in Maine. And have stayed in someone's home when we were touring the Gaspe peninsula. We have had a lot more "informal" couch surfing experience, than the type arranged through this site. Meeting people on the bus, in the mountains, on our blogs, etc.... inviting them to visit us and having them host us.
I've written about couchsurfing with a family on my blog here: http://renee.tougas.net/blog/couchsurfing-with-a-family/

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We love to be together as a family (our kids are teenagers and one pre-teen) and we consider that pretty amazing in our culture.
In the spring and summer of 2014 our family thru-hiked the entire Appalachian Trail in the United States. Hiking, backpacking, climbing many mountains, staying in homes and hostels, and of course tenting, for six months.
