About Me

I'm tall, blonde and Norwegian. Nuff said...

Nah, just kidding.

I'm a 30 year old girl, living and working in Trondheim, Norway. My plan is to remain a child at heart forever, playing my way through life. I never say no to a dip in the ocean (no matter the temperature), to climb a tree or have a little picnic on the living room floor. Don't take me too seriously - at least I don't!

My main hobbies are languages, bellydancing and pole dance, though I do normal stuff as well - don't worry. I also love meeting people who are passionate about something - I believe anything can become interesting if you dive into it!

In addition, I am pretty darn good at planning and organizing (I am three quarters German, need I say more?), but traveling has definitely taught me the benefits of being spontaneous now and then.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think "paying it forward" sums up the reason why I do couchsurfing pretty well! I've hosted over 70 persons both in Stavanger with my family and in my new home in Trondheim, I've surfed quite a bit all over the place, and met people for coffees and drinks in both Norway and other countries. All my couchsurfing experiences have been amazing, incredible and wonderful in their own ways. It's a bit of a cliché, but I've done and seen so many things and met so many persons that I would never meet without couchsurfing, that I'm actually a bit overwhelmed.

And to use my mum's words:
Couchsurfing has enriched our family (and I must add, my life)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

For me, the single best way to learn and widen my horizons is through good discussions, and my opinions and beliefs being challenged. Conversations with people from across the globe give me a way better understanding of their respective country than any Wikipedia article will ever do. In that way, the thing I remember from my travels are the meetings with locals and their stories. So, tourist attractions might not be my cup of tea, but give me some wild flowers, a local beer and your favorite bench with a nice view, and I'm a happy camper!

My big dream is to learn to speak Spanish, French and Italian fluently. Yepp, that's gonna take some time, but you have to start from somewhere, right?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversations, good beer, good laughs.

Show me your party trick, and I'll show you mine!
