So this goes in third person--for this is written by another surfer/host as Yu-saku is not a prolific writer in English (https://www.couchsurfing.org/people/rockandsnow/)

Yu-saku might not be a fluent English speaker, but his character transcends any language barrier whatsoever. He's the most dedicated reader of literature I know (French, Spanish, German, English, and what have you!). He'd be more than happy to talk about Bolanos, Borges, Hugo, Balzac, Zola, etc--in Japanese for now, but soon in Spanish and French!!

Fukuchiyama may not be the traveler's juiciest destination, but it would make a good change after Kyoto and perhaps a good stop before Kinosaki (famous for hotspring).
