ABOUT ME

I consider my self a mix. As most of mexicans, I am mix of Indigenous (Grand mothers) and Europeans (Grand fathers). On the profession side, I am also a mix. I enjoy business as well as, social development project. Therefore, I decided to study my PhD in the Social Economy (business with a real social development goal).
I was raised in a family where love is shown through cooking. Thus, I enjoy cooking for my friends!
I like traveling and learning about other cultures. When I travel I like to have the real experience of the country, I enjoy at markets (I did it at Shanghai), hosting with families (I did it at La Habana) and sleeping at "hamacas" (I did it in Palenque, Mexico).
In the past I travel a lot because I used to live in Germany and Japan (because of my job). Now, as full time student I do not have too much time, however we (my husband and I) manage to scape abroad at least once a year.

PHILOSOPHY

If it doesn't work or happen it is because it is not for you. Get over it. Life does not stop.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new at CS. I got to know it because one good friend from Montreal introduced it to me. Through him, I got to meet other CS and I really like them. I have never host CSs but we are looking forward to live the experience!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new at CS. We plan to host somebody in the following days. So, I will tell you latter!!

Intereses

I like cooking and trying other cultures's food. I enjoy movies but dislike television. I love to read, my favourites are Ibero-American authors, such as, Benedetti, Saramago, Garcia Marquez but Murakami has also joined to my list of favourites. I also enjoy travelling!

Música, películas y libros

I like indi, trova, world music, in general I am very open to all music except "regetón". I like international cinema but also enjoy hollywood comedies.

Algo increíble que he hecho

To have the opportunity to live a couple of summers in indigenous communities in Mexico. Those were amazing experiences!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I like to learn from everybody and everything. I am volunteering at a roof organic garden and at a cooking class with youth at a marginalized neighbourhood in Montréal. I could talk about my volunteering jobs :)
