About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Collect as many different and divergent pieces as possible in order to try to complete the jigsaw puzzle representing my personal life philosophy.

ABOUT ME

Most importantly, I see myself as an open-minded and very curious person. However, it is the kind of curiosity about everything and everyone, that one might conduct to say that I'm interested in everything and nothing. This is not the case; I am fascinated about personal experiences, other cultures and mindsets as I am persuaded that people expressing their way of life remain the most exciting and instructive storytellers. You might have deduced that people say that I am a decent listener, however one of my passions are animated discussions about everything starting with politics and ethics up to complete nonsense.
Beside that, I am very cheerful and love to laugh, altough I have a very black humour. Some say that there are things you can not lough about it, that is certainly true in some situations, but I am persuaded that pain and distress can be driven out by humour, which, besides love, creates the most important bonds between people. So I deeply agree with Charles Dickens when he says: "Is there a better way to manage life than with love and humour?".
To make a long story short, I love to have people around me, discuss different point of views and experiences and have a lot of fun by joking around.

PHILOSOPHY

The precondition of tolerance is the conscience that our way of thinking is always a conditional one. (Max Frisch)

Interests

Sports, above all Football (and Yes, we called that Football in Europe and not Soccer) but basically every sport fascinates me. Otherwise, I love a good book and I read a lot if I have the time to. I am very interested in Politics, not only in day-to-day politics but also in reflections how to design and shape a good functioning community. My newest passion is manual photography with an old polaroid camera and although I sense that my talent is very limited I love these old machines.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm....difficult. I was truely amazed by the peaceful life people live in Burkina Faso. Although it is a very poor live (Burkina Faso is the fifth-poorest country in the world) and the community is highly diverse in terms of religion and ethnies, people coexist and interact without any hate or jealousy (in the sense we understand jealousy, their jealousy concerns primary love and social interaction). The respect for the other is immense and tolerance is the key to such an attitude. That truly amazed and inspired me as I never experienced such an attitude throughout such a large community.
