About Me

I'm a kind-hearted, outgoing person who enjoys the company of others, as well as my own time to reflect once in awhile. I love to laugh, live drama-free and without regrets, as well as make the best of each day.

I've always been mature and I have a deep respect for individuals. I see the good in everyone and meeting new people is a huge learning experience.

I enjoy checking out local artists and learning about various music scenes, as well as finding the unique - quirky and beautiful - things about each city that distinguishes it from others.

I love cute furry little animals many of us have in our homes - also known as cats and dogs. Unfortunately, I'm allergic, so they can't be in any household where I CS (unless you have a hypoallergenic dog).

I am responsible, clean and tidy, and expect to stay with those who are the same way. I am likely to show my host/hostess my appreciation by making a healthy, yummy meal or dessert...with knowledge in many dietary needs, I can make almost anything with variations.

I don't do drugs of any kind, nor do I drink (for health reasons). I love to go out dancing once in awhile!

I'm a morning-person-in-training (I used to be a night-owl), but I've been learning to change this.

Please: do not contact me if you are using the site as a dating service, have the goal of getting into my pants or making a move on me, etc. Don't even think about it! I do not, by any means, support the use of Couch Surfing as a dating site (warning comes due to a bad experience once).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I cannot host at the moment, and I mostly travel for career related purposes. Currently, I travel to Ottawa and Toronto often. I'm also open to house sitting in Montreal or Ottawa.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've had one excellent host who showed me around town, we went dancing, exchanged edgy and interesting stories, and more. Another experience was a nightmare - I reported him to CS and his profile no longer exists here. Here's to all my future experiences being GREAT!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Comedies

Music: A little bit of everything - indie/electro/folk/acoustic/pop/rock/country/bluegrass/jazz, etc. Not heavy metal...not a huge fan of hip hop/rap either, but I don't mind it once in awhile.

Books: Mostly related to personal development, spirituality, psychology of people, musicology, music industry, and gender and race studies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if I can pinpoint something in regards to traveling, but here are a few things I loved:

Calgary, Alberta - Lake Louise is the MOST stunning view I have ever seen and has the most incredible paths I have ever walked around it and along the mountain.

Nashville, Tennessee - Printer's Alley has a special, unique kind of charm to it.

Cancun, Mexico - CocoBongo. What an incredible club full of acrobats, dance routines and more of icons on pop culture!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Raw foods, natural health, veganism, songwriting, music production, yoga postures, basic Bengali, etc.

Learn: Languages such as ASL, German, and re-learn Spanish (I was taught it in junior high, but haven't used it and have forgotten it), as well as more dance styles (swing, country, belly dance, more Bollywood and hip hop, lindy-hop/jitterbug, etc.)

Share: Travel stories and experiences, warm cups of tea over good conversation, moments travelling together
