ABOUT ME

Updated profile in Dec 2016

I haven't been active here for more than a year now. Many things have changed while others are still as relevant as ever.

In the last year, I have moved out of beirut to London to pursue my masters in service design innovation while on a chevening scholarship for future leaders. So basically, making a difference in this world is what drives me forward.

London and its people have been super generous so far and I hope I can pay their kindness forward by finally being able to host.

I live in a tiny apartment with my friend. If you dont mind the couch than by all means get in touch.

P.s: please please personalise the request. I won't reply to copy pasted messages.

2015 profile

Undecided about life, yet enjoys every single minute of it.
An experienced couchsurfer told me If I wanna make most of this experience, I should fill my profile but seriously I still don't know who I am, It is a never ending experimentation process.
But what I know for sure, that I can be mean crazy and speak fluent gibberish.
I woke up one day and taraaa I am out of dreams! Some have reached their expiry date or their validity and now I am in the process of designing a new set of dreams.

Two years after writing this description, I am really ecstatic to say that the couchsurfing experience changed how i see the world. When I started I was looking for dreams, now i've reached the point where I have a never ending set of dreams that keeps on extending and reshaping !

PHILOSOPHY

"I'm in love with cities I've never been to and people I've never met"
Life is not a punishment so I just want to make the most out of it and as some wise man or woman said: , (I don't remember) "On a l'éternité pour se reposer".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meditation Xmas party in Nepal. That was an out of body experience with 15 strangers. It was beautiful and beautiful. I tried using words to explain how it was:

Celebrating NYE in Pokhara with strangers, too many strangers.

NEPAL EVERYTHING ABOUT NEPAL. : (http://tinyletter.com/hayafarah/letters/i-owe-you-an-apology)

Sound healing.

Running my first 10k in Abu Dhabi under the burning sun in the middle of nowhere!

Living in Hamra, in Beirut. This city never seizes to amaze me ! day after day if Beirut was a human I would hug her forever!

For someone as cold as I thought I was, falling in and out of love was an eye opening experience about the human condition. I did not know that a human can experience all these feelings only when he let go of his walls and open his heart for whatever is gnna cross his path!

Sneaking my friend out of her house (Veiled girls in Lebanon are preferred not to stay the night out ) to watch the meteor shower in Faraya where we sat around the bonfire with people we just met. THAT WAS FREEZINGLY BEAUTIFUL AND SURREAL. The shower was beautiful not as heavy as it was expected!

Opening your heart to random people, smiling at them while they smile back at you.

Getting introduced to the notion of entrepreneurship which moved my world upside down.

Working hard to activate the mentor mentee program in my faculty where I eventually I succeeded in connecting students with internships by our alumni. THAT WAS A HUGE WIN FOR ME.

Beirut Service Jam and meeting all the awesome people who want to change the world and being introduced to a great human who turned out to be a great friend.

Going to random unexpected places all by myself.

My friend taking me for my birthday to visit Ammo Ibrahim museum in Ein el Mrayseh to discover the gems of beirut, then we went to fishermen place and had a picnic on the small deck with a tiny cake !!

Dream matcher experience where I was ecstatic to see my friends and sisters jump outside of their comfort zone.

First Crossfit class where I panicked in front of the box.
First time I managed the crow pose. OUF THAT WAS AWESOME.
THE WHOLE COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE.

and the list never ends!

My previous answer to this question was the one below and that was two years ago: I still believe that life in itself is amazing, especially Beirut

"Ok so I will sound cliche and tralla and as if i am living in LALALALAL land but life in itself is amazing."
