About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Because when life gets too easy, find a new challenge!

ABOUT ME

I'm an outgoing guy, always looking to crack a joke! I thoroughly enjoy travel, and try to avoid the tourist areas by having beers with some locals. I'm always up for a cool discussion, or hearing about others' beliefs and lifestyles.

You might hear me say strange things here and there, but it's very likely that it originates from the Simpsons.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't think we grow as people unless we go out of our comfort zones, which is why I travel!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My girlfriend, Amy (https://www.couchsurfing.org/people/amy.lou/), got me big time involved into CS. I try and contribute back.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in Belgium, had Christmas with some CS'ers in London, surfed in Zurich, and I participate as often as possible in the local CS meetings.

It's been an awesome way to meet new people!

Interests

In my spare time, I'm usually hanging out with friends, playing ice hockey, or traveling. I enjoy a new type of beer and exploring new places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the red and white colours of Canada pouring all over the streets in Vancouver 2010.

Scuba diving for the first time in Australia (fortunately at the barrier reef!)

The Wall of Peace in Belfast. Reminded me how developed democratic countries can become hotspots for civil unrest and archaic violence.

Chernobyl kindergarten.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really like discussing current events and politics. Of course I have opinions, but I really think it's important to hear other peoples perspectives in order to form mine.

I'd like to learn more other languages, specifically German right now. Sharing your travel experiences or own culture is a great thing, too.

Countries I’ve Visited
