ABOUT ME

i'm really into languages, because i love how they work as instruments to understand other people and their realities. there exists this linguistic theory which claims that every language you learn, provides a new perspective of the world and even if this theory is a quite polemic one, I agree with it and it might be the part I love most about learning them. beyond that, language is also my favourite form of art: i love literature and the more i learn about it, the more i'm amazed by it.

i grew up in a small village in upper austria where everybody greets everybody, the grass is green and the sun shines bright. i've lived and worked in several countries and even though it sounds like a big cliché: I've learned a lot and it changed my perspective on a lot of things. sometimes I think about staying in one place, but opportunities keep showing up, so I keep moving. one of the things I've learnt living abroad is that nice people are to be found absolutely everywhere, which is proved easily with websites like couchsurfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i'm on couchsurfing, because i like to believe in the kindness of strangers, that's why i hitchhike too.

Interests

i like meeting new people and treating them as if i´ve known them forever, i like traveling and getting to know cities and countries the most authentic way possible (what a surprise for a couchsurfer)

i love the sea, all rivers and lakes, i could spend hours just swimming and diving around, but actually i enjoy any activity in nature.

reading, drawing and writing is something i try to do on a regular basis cause it makes me a more level-headed person. so does listening to music.

other art-stuff i'm really into: i have a thing for street art and theatre. also i always have been interested in photography and lately i am experimenting a little bit more with it, so the camera has become my new favourite toy.
