ABOUT ME

"If I want an expert opinion, I'll just ask myself." Wouldn't that be convenient... In actual life I'm curious and always interested in learning, observing, listening. I enjoy chill-outs with music and shisa, dancing salsa, walking around the city, coffee, good and interesting company...

PHILOSOPHY

Once upon a time, grandfather sat his grandson on his lap and told him a story, a true tale of life.

"€œThere is a raging battle in the soul of every man. Not unlike the clash of two lions, this battle is fought in the soul of each and every one of us. One lion represents EVIL - rage, jealousy, envy, greed, arrogance, self-pity, sin, anger, inadequacy, deceit, false pride...

The other lion represents GOOD. He represents true joy, peace, harmony, love, hope, enjoyment, optimism, friendliness, kindness, warmth, generosity, truth and compassion."

The grandson was lost in thought for some time, thinking intensely of his grandfather'€™s words. Then he asked:

Grandfather, which lion wins in the end?

With the serious smile on his elderly face, grandfather replied:

The lion you feed always wins!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host but I'm happy to catch up, wonder around the city or chill or go partying.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started couchsurfing some years ago, when I went to Germany. My first (and only so far) host was amazing! Back in Estonia I met with travelers and showed them around as well as I knew. Then I moved to Melbourne for nearly a year and caught up with fellow travelers. Now I'm back home in Estonia and proudly showing off my home country.

Music, Movies, and Books

Depending on the venue and the company I enjoy different music. When alone, I often listen to RnB. No particular taste in movies, I prefer them to be either action genre that keeps you thinking or easywatching movies to pass time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is a warm, clear summer night. Stars in the sky are like tiny diamonds shining light on all smiling faces. Our ship is floating, the sea is calm. Excited voices of fellow passengers near and far build up a joyful mood. Everyone is preparing to enter a new world, a very different one from the one known. For me it's the first time. I get my gear on. It's very heavy, I can't wait to feel light again and breathe more easily. And then it's time. One splash after another and shortly, I am one of those splashes. Flashlights shining, stars looking down on us - gorgeous and intimidating. We get ready and on a sign descend into the depths.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm far from being a professional or even a teacher but I can show the basic steps in salsa and bachata or pole dance. I've got experience teaching Estonian.

I'm always interested in learning anything new - new skills, new views, new perspectives.
