To explore South East Asia as much as I can after my contract to teach English in South Korea is finished in September.

ABOUT ME

For the past year I was teaching English in South Korea and now I am on a mission to explore South East Asia as much as I can. I hope to really get to know people as I travel around each place, and learn your stories, chat, and build friendships.

I was born and raised in Canada, with parents who came from Hong Kong. I graduated from university in 2016 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. From the minute I graduated, I decided I wanted to do something different and travel. So I took the chance and applied for a job overseas not having any teaching experience or ever having traveled alone. It's been over a year since I've been home but there's still so much to learn everywhere I go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first made my account in 2012 but never took much action with CS. This time around I'm actually travelling so I hope to open my doors to couchsurfers and try this out :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually enjoy hip hop, rnb, and some electronic music.

I'm not picky about what I read because I usually get books from book trades to save money haha. I did really enjoy The Alchemist though.

I don't watch movies too often but if I do I would usually choose comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to the North Korean border - the DMZ and saw North Koreans going about their day through binoculars

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some English, ballet, hip hop, and contemporary dance moves, or share my cooking! (I mostly cook vegetarian but it is far from being bland which I take pride in).
