About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'd really like to grow a beard. Although it's not going so well : /

ABOUT ME

I'm just a guy who is curious about the world and wants to get to know at least a bit more about it by traveling and meeting new people. I cant spend too much time in one place, every weekend I have to travel somewhere or at least get into a Tram and travel to some various places in the city where I live (Wroclaw) I don't know yet. I just might be a little shy in the beginnings but after some time I'm getting opened up.

PHILOSOPHY

Impossible is nothing...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed:

Hosted:
Dawid from Kielce

Aaron from Stockholm

I surfed in Berlin, Paris, Prague,Oslo, Stockholm & Vienna and it was always great experience, also I've met few people who were visiting Wroclaw and thanks to those meetings I've learned a lot about other nations and cultures.

Interests

My biggest passion is aviation. I'm dreaming about becoming a pilot someday - for now I've kind of made it happen already - I've finished gliding course and had a few solo flights! :)

I love traveling and sightseeing (my current goal is to visit all capital cities in western Europe, already got a few done), also I'm all into science and technology stuff(my favourite series is "How its made"), and due to my studies, I got a bit into robotics. Moreover I like doing various sports and taking long walks around the city or doing some urban exploration.
I like learning about the history of the places I visit or live in - I love discovering something like old writings on the walls etc. - Wroclaw is great for that kinds of activities!

Lately, I've discovered kayaking and I absolutely loved it!

Im really into bushcraft - I absolutely adore camping in the woods, making a fire, preparing food in the wild - did that last time on my kayaking trip and it was fantastic. I really recommend these kinds of activities if you want to "recharge your batteries".
Also, I really fancy mountain trips - in the region where I live, there is amazing mountain range called Sudetes - even though it is not too high, it is incredibly beautiful and full of mysteries from 2nd world war!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I love reading books - J.R.R Tolkien, Ursula K. Le Guin and George R.R Martin are my favourite authors, but I also like to read some classics like for instance "The Count of Monte Cristo". If you are interested in what am I reading I can show you my kindle library ;)

Music: If you would ask me about my favourite band i think I would say Pink Floyd. Generally, I listen to all generes of music, pretty much everything that I find catchy, but I have to admit that Im mostly keen on Hard Rock/Rock/Indie/Alternative. So just to give an example, few band names: Of Monsters and Man, Franz Ferdinand, Rammstein, RHCP, Muse, Coldplay, Awolnation. I also really enjoy clasical music, my favourite masterpiece is The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi.

Movies: I'm crazy about old James Bond movies (those with Sean Connery and Roger Moore as a 007), loved the Jason Bourne series, anime from studio Ghibli, recently I really liked "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and some movies based on true story like "Catch me if you can". I also love few sitcoms: M*A*S*H, That 70's show and Scrubs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To be honest, I can't really name one thing, there were several events that come into my head:

• The view of the night sky during my stay at Pieniny (polish mountains) and the atmosphere during the first night walk through Wroclaw's Cathedral Island,

• 1st solo flight in a glider, it is an amazing feeling when you realize that up in the sky you are only on your own and you hold your life in your hands,

• The view of Paris from Montmarte in the last rays of the setting sun...

• The Northern Lights! I've organized a trip behind a Northern Circle for a bunch of good friends ( 13 of them, to be precise :D) to hunt the Aurora and when we finally saw it, it was a best feeling ever!

• Iceland - stunning
