ABOUT ME

My best friends would probably say I'm "crazy." People I don't know what say I was "friendly." In truth, I'm a normal guy doing normal things in an abnormal world. Being a former comic book geek, I've picked up a strong distinction between good and bad; right and wrong. And it seems to guide me pretty well through life...most of the time :)

You're reading about a coffee snob here. Yeah, I'm really uppity about it - and food too. I have to spend regular time in the gym to keep from ballooning up from all the eating I do. And I get motivated to work out through copious amounts of caffeine. Vicious circle - power up to exercise/get famished and pig out/power up to exercise. Look, this is New York and it's a hard town NOT to have fun in. Never hold back. When I'm not making my addictions sound avant garde, I love going to the theater, parks, surfing the internet, reading, playing chess and watching baseball. But yeah, those things will have food and coffee wrapped around them too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all types of music, movies and books. However, my favorites are:
Books: "Wake Up Sir!" "The Alchemist" and the Bible.
Music: Old school hip hop and anything from the 80's.
Movies: Right now I'm into foreign horror, especially Asian. It's so different than how America does it...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

France is my one true love. From the French Riviera to Paris, I was constantly left speechless by the sheer beauty in everything I saw there. While I fancy myself a pretty good shutterbug, I don't take responsibility for any of the wonderful photos I took there. The pictures literally took themselves and I just pressed the button. Fantastic.

One of the most amazing things I've ever done in my life was to see "Sleep No More," an interactive performance in Chelsea NYC. It's a thrill ride that takes theater to a whole new level and I can't talk it up enough. You need an open mind and good running shoes. They'll take care of the rest.

Teach, Learn, Share

Folks who love to try new things bring out the best in me. I'm particularly drawn to mature geeks who don't see skin color at all. I like learning about different cultures too. But politics? Leave that out of the conversation ok? Ok? You didn't say Ok. Grrr...we're going to have a problem, aren't we?
