ABOUT ME

My name is Jake. I am a 25 years old and I have just obtained a Bachelor Degree in International Communication.

I will be moving to Sydney permanently on July 11th!

About myself in a nutshell; I have lived 11 years in the Philippines and 12 years in the Netherlands. I've traveled back and forth often during those years. I went on exchange to Ireland in 2012 and then did an internship in Sydney for about 6 months.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in hard work!
I believe in taking life serious!
Only you can create your own success and path in life (that's of course relative).
Success is the best form of rebellion.

BUT and it's a big but...

I also believe that humor and laughter is more than a coping mechanism - it really is the best medicine.
Also, if you don't believe in the culture you're surrounded in, than you might as well "create" your own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some really nice people via couchsurfing. It's a great way to feel at home abroad.

Interests

I like to travel (but who doesn't?), write, swim, jog and tennis. I also like to go out and experience and explore the city; day and night. I am open to new things and quite liberal. I am social but not overbearing.
