Born in Sichuan province. Have studied in Guangdong, Taiwan, UK. Now I'm working in Shanghai and also grab some leisure time to travel around, meet new friends and running an Acappella band.

I think I'm relaxed and outgoing. A person sometimes is very quiet, but I am particularly active with people I feel comfortable with. The first impression of me to a new friend might be relatively gentle and polite, but actually I am a crazy kid. So who knows my personality.

I have an optimistic view of life, love making new friends, and explore new things! BTW, my hometown is famous for hotpot and also the home to Panda! So I can cook Sichuan cuisine which is definitely delicacy for me!

PHILOSOPHY

Live life to the full. Life will not change if you never make a move, only you can lead it to what you want.
Never give up. Cherish great things you have, such as family and friends. Be nice to people and understand perseverance, commitment, honesty.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was invited by my friend in 2012 and after the first CS experience I think it is a amazing concept!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

2012: I surfed in Taiwan with my friend when the hotels and hostels are fully booked because of a music concert. We were hosted by two hosts, one is a man with 9 parrots in his house, another one is a girl who raises a homeless dog.

2013: My first surfing on my own was in HK. I was hosted in an University. My host is a really nice PhD and showed me around HK. We exchanged a lots of stories and also the language in our own country.

Then I start to do my dissertation on the topic of Couchsurfing. I interviewed a lot of CSers and thanks for their help with my questionnaire. Through this research I also made new friends.

2014: Upon graduation I surfed Xiamen and Taiwan, making friends and get deeper insights of local life.

2015: During the holiday of busy study terms, I surfed Paris and Berlin. Met 4 French CSers and two of them hosted me. They all have different lives, stories and personalities which makes my trip very special. In Berlin, I cooked vegetarian Sichuan cuisine for my host. Glad he liked it!

All the experiences are so unforgettable. CSers are so amazing!

Interesses

I love music, love singing! I am Soprano in vocal band. We performed in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Guangzhou, Shanghai. I enjoy the harmony of vocal and the feeling of bringing happiness to others. The only instrument I play is violin, now I want to learn guitar!

I like travelling and photography
I like swimming, volleyball, badminton and table tennis.
I am willing to try new things.
I have lived in Taiwan for five months. During that time I took French cooking class and beverage class, which triggered my interest in cooking~~

I am an ACAPPELLA singer. Had a band in called Muse.S in Guangdong. Now I am running a new band in Shanghai called Smasher.

I love this kind of music cos it is a communication with your friends singing together as well as the audiences who receive all of your messages through music.

I also would love to teach you Mandarin if you are interested in. I think it is a win-win that we can exchange our languages and cultures.
