Who I see I had to change my profile, that was of many years ago :D

I used to be a sailor and traveled the word when free of the ships. Now i'm working as an entrepreneur and consultant in the world of shipping. I love travel and maybe if you meet me you will find me in a country where I enjoy while being at work.

I love the sea, boats and everything what has something with the sea. Sailing on a sailing boat is something I really like to do!!
Next to all this I think I'm a really easy going guy. I like to meet other cultures and new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I helped in all the way I could every time that people hosted me in there houses. I like to cook (in dutch style of course) and I would like to exchange different tastes.

I make a lot of photographs, I also like to collaborate with people who needs good photo's.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Once I was traveling in Madrid I met a guy on the street who was couchsurfing. It was great talking with him and we want eating with a other couchsurfer from Madrid.
During my next travel I started using the couchsurfing. First I hosted several people in my house before I left the Netherlands. After I was traveling I found out that it was such a great way to meet new people and exchange experiences in different places. I surfed all over spain.
After this I moved for two months to Barcelona I rented a room in a house with a lot of couchsurfers. I hosted several people and it was a great time.
I hope I can extend my experience soon!!!!

Interests

I'm very interested in Photographing. I try to find the best places to make the best pictures.
Also I love to sail, big or small boats I do it all. Sailing on a sailing boat is of course the best way on the water.
Films making is also something what I like. I'm still starting this hobby but it is still nice to tell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Breaking down of a old car in the middle of the Sahara desert.
Be attacked by pirates (this is not a joke).
Made rounds around Africa by boat.
